Baked Garlic Parmesan Fries
Ingredients:
- 4 large russet potatoes, cut into thin fries
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Cut the potatoes into thin fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch and makes the fries crispier.
- Season the Fries:
- Drain and pat the potatoes dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Bake the Fries:
- Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning the fries halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Add Parmesan:
- Remove the fries from the oven and immediately toss them with the grated Parmesan cheese while they are still hot.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.
