Ingredients:
- 2 cups shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened, depending on your preference)
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips (or chopped milk chocolate)
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
Instructions:
- Prepare Coconut Mixture:
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded coconut and sweetened condensed milk. Mix well until the coconut is fully coated with the condensed milk.
- Form Bars:
- Line a baking dish (8×8 inches or similar) with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Press the coconut mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish, creating a compact layer.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate the coconut mixture for about 30 minutes, or until it’s firm and set.
- Prepare Chocolate Coating:
- In a heatproof bowl, combine the milk chocolate chips and coconut oil.
- Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together over a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Coat Bars:
- Remove the coconut layer from the refrigerator and cut it into bars or squares.
- Dip each bar into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated, and then place it on a parchment-lined tray.
- Set:
- Refrigerate the chocolate-coated bars for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully set.
- Serve:
