  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Broccoli: If using fresh broccoli, steam or blanch it until tender. If using frozen, you can microwave it until heated through.

  4. Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  5. Add Toppings: If desired, sprinkle extra cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top for added texture.
  6. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the top is golden.
  7. Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your comforting casserole!
