Caramelized Baked Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a large zip-top bag or a bowl. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight in the fridge for deeper flavor).
- Bake the Chicken: Transfer the chicken thighs to a baking dish, skin side up. Pour any remaining marinade over the top. Bake for about 35-45 minutes, basting halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and caramelized.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped green onions. Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
Enjoy your delicious caramelized baked chicken!
