Cheesy Parmesan Crisps with Herbs
Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese (or a mix of parmesan and cheddar for variety)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (or any herb of your choice, like thyme or rosemary)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional, for some heat)
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for extra spice)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a small bowl, mix the shredded parmesan cheese with garlic powder, oregano, and black pepper.
- Scoop small mounds (about a tablespoon each) of the cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press each mound down slightly to flatten it into a circle.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese crisps are golden and bubbly. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
- Remove from the oven and allow the crisps to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes to firm up.
Serving:
Once cooled, the parmesan crisps will be crunchy and perfect for snacking. You can enjoy them on their own or pair them with a low-carb dip, like guacamole or sour cream with herbs.
These are not only easy but also gluten-free and keto-friendly, making them a great snack when you’re craving something cheesy and crispy!
