Creamy Cheesy Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried herbs of your choice)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Cooked pasta or rice (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Cook the Chicken:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through and browned. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Make the Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add Cream and Cheeses:
- Stir in the heavy cream, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Cook and stir until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Combine and Simmer:
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over them. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes to heat the chicken through and allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve:
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve the creamy cheesy chicken over cooked pasta or rice, if desired.
