Deviled Eggs
Ingredients:
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Paprika, for garnish
- Chopped chives or parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Boil the Eggs:
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes. Transfer eggs to ice water to cool, then peel.
- Prepare the Filling:
- Slice the peeled eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork.
- Mix Ingredients:
- Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Fill the Egg Whites:
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired. Serve chilled.
