Deviled Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish
  • Chopped chives or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Eggs:
  • Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes. Transfer eggs to ice water to cool, then peel.
  1. Prepare the Filling:
  • Slice the peeled eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork.
  1. Mix Ingredients:
  • Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  1. Fill the Egg Whites:
  • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  1. Garnish and Serve:
  • Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired. Serve chilled.

Tips:

  • Variations: Add a dash of hot sauce, relish, or crumbled bacon for extra flavor!
  • Make Ahead: Prepare the filling a day in advance and fill the eggs just before serving.
