Garlic and Butter Flatbread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the Garlic Butter:
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Make the Dough: In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt. Set aside.
- Roll Out the Dough: Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a flat circle (about 1/4 inch thick).
- Cook the Flatbreads: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
- Add Garlic Butter: Brush the hot flatbreads generously with the garlic butter mixture immediately after cooking.
- Serve: Enjoy warm as a side dish or snack!
