Garlic Butter Lobster and Scallops

Ingredients

  • For the Seafood:
  • 2 lobster tails, split lengthwise
  • 1 pound scallops (fresh or thawed if frozen)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but be careful not to burn it.
  • Stir in the lemon juice, paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and add chopped parsley. Set aside.
  1. Cook the Lobster:
  • Preheat your grill or oven broiler. Season the lobster tails with salt and pepper.
  • Brush the cut sides of the lobster tails with a bit of the garlic butter sauce.
  • Grill or broil for about 8-10 minutes, until the meat is opaque and cooked through. Baste with more garlic butter halfway through.
  1. Cook the Scallops:
  • While the lobster is cooking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a little olive oil or butter.
  • Season the scallops with salt and pepper. Once the skillet is hot, add the scallops in a single layer (do this in batches if needed).
  • Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  1. Combine and Serve:
  • Plate the lobster tails and scallops, drizzling the remaining garlic butter sauce over the top.
  • Garnish with additional parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Conclusion

This garlic butter lobster and scallops dish is perfect for special occasions or a fancy dinner at home. Enjoy the rich flavors and elegant presentation!
