Garlic Butter Mozzarella Balls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
  • 8 ounces of mozzarella cheese, cut into 12 cubes
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the dough: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit in half to create 16 pieces.
  3. Form the balls: Flatten each piece of dough and place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center. Fold the dough over the cheese, pinching the edges to seal and form a ball.
  4. Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Coat the dough balls: Dip each dough ball into the garlic butter mixture, ensuring it is well coated, then place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Add Parmesan: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the tops of the dough balls.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Garnish and serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and optionally garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve warm.

Variations & Tips:

  • Experiment with different cheeses like cheddar or gouda.
  • Add a slice of pepperoni or a bit of cooked bacon inside each dough ball for extra flavor.
  • For a spicier version, incorporate a pinch of red pepper flakes into the garlic butter mixture.

Enjoy! 🍽️
