Ham and Cheese Sticks

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 slices of deli ham
  • 8 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  1. Prepare the Dough:
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  1. Assemble:
  • Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each triangle if using.
  • Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each triangle.
  1. Roll Up:
  • Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle up to the point, encasing the ham and cheese.
  1. Egg Wash:
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over each rolled stick. Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top if desired.
