Italian Sub Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 12 slider buns (or mini sub rolls)
  • 1/2 lb deli meats (ham, salami, pepperoni)
  • 1/2 lb provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 tomato, sliced
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  3. Layer Ingredients:
  • Drizzle the bottom buns with Italian dressing.
  • Layer with deli meats, followed by provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato slices, and banana peppers.
  1. Season: Drizzle a little olive oil over the top and sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the Tops: Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders.
  3. Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  4. Serve: Let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.

  • Feel free to customize the sliders with your favorite Italian meats and cheeses.
  • Serve with extra Italian dressing or marinara sauce for dipping.
