Italian Sub Sliders
Ingredients:
- 12 slider buns (or mini sub rolls)
- 1/2 lb deli meats (ham, salami, pepperoni)
- 1/2 lb provolone cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 tomato, sliced
- 1/4 cup banana peppers (optional)
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
- Layer Ingredients:
- Drizzle the bottom buns with Italian dressing.
- Layer with deli meats, followed by provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato slices, and banana peppers.
- Season: Drizzle a little olive oil over the top and sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Add the Tops: Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders.
- Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
- Serve: Let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
