Minute Caramel Sauce

A rich and creamy caramel sauce made in just minutes, perfect for topping your favorite desserts or enjoying on its own.


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup (optional, for smoother consistency)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Melt the Butter:
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  1. Add Sugar and Syrup:
  • Stir in the brown sugar and corn syrup (if using). Continue to cook and stir for about 2-3 minutes, until the mixture starts to bubble.

  • Gradually add the heavy cream to the bubbling mixture, stirring constantly. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the caramel is smooth and has thickened slightly.
  1. Flavor and Season:
  • Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  1. Cool and Serve:
  • Allow the caramel sauce to cool slightly before using. It will thicken more as it cools.
  1. Store:
  • Store any leftover caramel sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Reheat gently before using.
