Steak and Shrimp Stuffed Bread
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the Steak:
- In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Shrimp:
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic until softened. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce, and return the steak to the skillet. Mix well and remove from heat.
- Prepare the Bread:
- Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Hollow out some of the bread from the center to create space for the filling.
- Stuff the Bread:
- Spoon the steak and shrimp mixture evenly into the hollowed-out bread. Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake:
- Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Serve:
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, slice, and enjoy warm!
Tips:
- Additions: Feel free to add other ingredients like mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor.
- Dipping Sauce: Serve with a side of marinara or a garlic butter sauce for dipping.
