Steak and Shrimp Stuffed Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/2 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  1. Cook the Steak:
  • In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  1. Cook the Shrimp:
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. SautĂ© the onion, bell pepper, and garlic until softened. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce, and return the steak to the skillet. Mix well and remove from heat.
  1. Prepare the Bread:
  • Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Hollow out some of the bread from the center to create space for the filling.
  1. Stuff the Bread:
  • Spoon the steak and shrimp mixture evenly into the hollowed-out bread. Top with shredded cheese.
  1. Bake:
  • Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
  1. Serve:
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, slice, and enjoy warm!

Tips:

  • Additions: Feel free to add other ingredients like mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor.
  • Dipping Sauce: Serve with a side of marinara or a garlic butter sauce for dipping.
