Ingredients:

  • 1 large sourdough or crusty round bread loaf (unsliced)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for extra flavor)

Garlic Butter Mixture:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Bread
    Place the bread on a cutting board. Using a sharp bread knife, cut the bread into a grid pattern—slice it horizontally and vertically without cutting all the way through the bottom. You should end up with small squares of bread that are still connected at the base.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter
    In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, parsley, and chives. Stir well to combine.
  4. Stuff the Bread
