Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes (boiled and cooled)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
- 2 tbsp butter or oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
- Ketchup, ranch, or any dipping sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Boil the Potatoes
- Boil the potatoes until they’re fork-tender. Let them cool slightly, then cut into thick strips or wedges.
- Pan-Fry or Oven Bake
- Heat a skillet with butter or oil and fry the potato strips until golden and crispy. Alternatively, bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Season
- While the fries are still warm, sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss gently to coat.
- Add Cheese
- Place the fries on a baking sheet or in the skillet. Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the fries.
- If using the oven, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes until the cheese melts. For stovetop, cover the skillet with a lid and let the cheese melt over low heat.
- Serve
- Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
Enjoy your cheesy indulgence!
