Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8-12 slices of bacon (depending on size of chicken breasts)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing)
  • Toothpicks or kitchen twine (for securing)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the Chicken:
  • Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika (if using).
  1. Wrap with Bacon:
  • Wrap each chicken breast with 2-3 slices of bacon, securing the bacon with toothpicks or kitchen twine. Ensure the bacon is tightly wrapped around the chicken.
  1. Sear the Chicken:
  • Heat olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bacon starts to get crispy and brown. This step helps render some of the bacon fat and adds flavor.
  1. Bake the Chicken:
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C) and the bacon is crispy. If the bacon needs more crisping, you can broil the chicken for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.

  • Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Remove toothpicks or twine before serving.
