Cheesecake Stuffed Banana Bread

Cheesecake Stuffed Banana Bread is a delicious twist on traditional banana bread. The creamy cheesecake filling adds a rich, tangy contrast to the sweet, moist banana bread. Here’s a recipe to make it:

Ingredients:

For the Banana Bread:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3 bananas)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  1. Prepare the Banana Bread Batter:
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  1. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
  • In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  1. Assemble the Bread:
  • Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  • Spoon the cheesecake filling over the banana bread batter, spreading it gently with a spatula.
  • Top with the remaining banana bread batter, spreading it evenly over the cheesecake filling.
  1. Swirl (Optional):
  • For a marbled effect, use a knife or toothpick to gently swirl the top layer of banana bread batter with the cheesecake layer.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are okay, but it shouldn’t be wet).
  • If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil during the last 10-15 minutes of baking.
  1. Cool:
  • Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  1. Serve:
  • Slice and enjoy your Cheesecake Stuffed Banana Bread! It’s delicious on its own or with a cup of coffee or tea.

This recipe combines the best of both banana bread and cheesecake, making it a perfect treat for any occasion. Enjoy!
